"Each year, nearly 40,000 people come to Camden's downtown for the annual Black Walnut Festival, held the third weekend of October each year. A committee of 16 help the Camden Chamber of Commerce put together the festival, which features a Saturday morning parade, an entertainment tent and black-walnut specialties. "It's a buying experience," said Karen Fakes, chamber president. "Each year it gets bigger and bigger." About 130 booths feature a variety of craft and bakery items. The Black Walnut Festival is one of the largest festivals in southwest Ohio. The Camden Chamber of Commerce has about 88 businesses on its roster."
